Learning Objectives

Participants will learn from the experience of the speaker. Students will understand that it is ok to have mental health struggles and how to break through the stigma surrounding these conditions. The module will encourage self-help, professional help and peer support.

This course is designed to have learners get help before it is too late and avoid costly WSIB claims and long-term absences from the workplace.

This case study is based on a current serving Police Officer's personal experiences and mental health struggles. It has been presented to hundreds of people from senior policing officials, police officers, mental health workers and college students. It is powerful and full of emotion.
